La competencia entre los emisores de ETF para encontrar una nueva forma de exprimir la mayor cantidad de ingresos de las carteras de acciones se amplió nuevamente el martes, con un nuevo fondo de Pacer que tiene como objetivo entregar dividendos amplificados. La firma lanzó el Pacer Metaurus Nasdaq-100 Dividend Multiplier 600 ETF (QSIX), un fondo hermano del US Large Cap Dividend Multiplier 400 ETF (QDPL) que ha crecido hasta más de $ 500 millones en activos desde su lanzamiento en 2021. Los fondos apuntan a distribuciones equivalentes a seis veces los pagos de dividendos en el índice Nasdaq-100 y cuatro veces el dividendo del S & P 500, respectivamente. Las estrategias de ingresos se han convertido en un área enorme de crecimiento para los emisores de ETF en los últimos años, y los fondos de opciones cubiertas posiblemente sean el nicho más popular. Según FactSet, los ETF de opciones de compra cubiertas Global X en el S&P 500 (XYLD) y el Nasdaq-100 (QYLD) ahora tienen más de 10 mil millones de dólares en activos combinados. Y los ETF de ingresos premium de JPMorgan (JEPI y JEPQ, que emplean una variación de la estrategia de opciones de compra cubiertas) tienen más de 50 mil millones de dólares combinados. En los últimos tres años, QDPL ha superado a varios fondos populares centrados en dividendos, incluido el ProShares S & P 500 Dividend Aristocrats ETF (NOBL) y el Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD) en términos de rendimiento total, según FactSet.
